Workshop Customer Booking Waiver 

Thank you for choosing London Bike Studio for your bike maintenance and repair needs. When confirming a booking in our shop or online, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Service Limitations: We reserve the right to refuse service for any bicycle, including e-bikes, that we deem to be unsafe or dangerous. This includes, but is not limited to, bikes with:

  - Structural damage or significant wear that compromises safety.

  - Electrical systems that pose a risk of fire or other hazards.

  - Modifications or installations that do not comply with safety standards.

2. Customer Responsibility: By agreeing to these terms by booking, you acknowledge that you are responsible for informing us of any known issues with your bike, including any damage or modifications that may affect its safety or performance. 

3. Liability: London Bike Studio is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may result from the continued use of a bike that we have deemed unsafe and refused to service.

4. Acceptance of Risk: You acknowledge that cycling carries inherent risks, and London Bike Studio is not responsible for any accidents or injuries resulting from mechanical failures or issues outside of our service.

5. “Corkage Fee” and supplying your own parts/accessories: If you want to supply your own parts or accessories, and we can supply the same or comparable products in a timely manner, we reserve the right to apply a fee of up to 20% on the labour charges. We will install them to the highest professional standards but beyond that, we are not responsible for its performance.

Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to London Bike Studio Ltd. Our store is hosted via Lightspeed POS in-store and Lightspeed eCom for our e-commerce platform, which allows us to sell our products and services to you.

London Bike Studio - Returns Policy

1. Return Period

  • You have 30 days from the receipt date to return your purchase.

  • For online purchases, the 30-day period starts from the day you collect the item or the day it is delivered, not the order date.

2. Conditions for Returns

  • All items must be returned new, unused, and in a resellable condition with their original packaging.

  • Faulty items due to manufacturing defects can be returned.

  • For bicycles, our professional mechanics will inspect returned bikes to ensure they are in a safe and resellable condition. Based on this inspection, a reduced refund may be offered if the bike shows signs of use.

3. Proof of Purchase

  • A proof of purchase (such as a receipt or order confirmation) is required to process any returns or exchanges.

4. Condition of Returned Items

  • New and resellable condition is required for all returns, meaning the item must be unused and in its original packaging.

  • Bicycles that have been used must pass an inspection by our mechanics to determine their safety and resellability. A reduced refund may apply if the item is not in perfect condition.

5. Shipping Costs for Returns

  • If the return is due to a fault or error outside the customer’s control (e.g., manufacturing defect or wrong item received), we will cover the return shipping costs.

  • For all other returns, customers are responsible for covering the shipping cost of the return.

6. Refunds and Exchanges

  • We offer exchanges for items that meet the return criteria.

  • All refunds will be processed using the same payment method used during the purchase.

7. Processing Time

  • Returns are processed within 3-5 working days of receiving the returned item.

  • If you have not heard from us after 5 working days, please contact us.

8. Faulty or Incorrect Items

  • If you receive a faulty or incorrect item due to an error by us or the manufacturer, we will offer a full refund or exchange.

  • We will cover the cost of return shipping in these cases.

9. Return of Assembled Products

  • We accept returns of assembled bicycles if they are undamaged by the customer and in a resellable condition.

  • All returned bikes will undergo an inspection by our mechanics, and a reduced refund may be offered if the bike is not in perfect condition.

10. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, magazines)

  • Intimate or sanitary products

  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

  • Gift cards

  • Health and personal care items

  • Helmets and safety equipment

11. Consumer Rights (UK Compliance)

  • This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • If your item is faulty, you have the right to a full refund within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If a repair or replacement is not possible or reasonable, you can request a refund.
